SBL’s “SERENGETI MASTA”CAMPAIGN ENDS ON A HIGH NOTE IN DAR ES SALAAM

The Serengeti Premium Lager’s campaign dubbed “Serengeti Masta” has ended on a high note in Dar es Salaam this weekend after a similar activity in Mwanza, Moshi, Arusha, Dodoma, Morogoro and Mbeya where the 3 months promo received a wider response from the fans of Serengeti Premium Lager beer.

 

The campaign came to a climatic halt flocking in three bars of different locations in Dar es Salaam and indulging consumers to 3 final nights filled with fun, music, competitions and award giving much to the delight of consumers and spectators. The bars that were chosen to host the final spectacular events were Kisuma Bar of Temeke, Zambezi Ubungo and Havana Park-Segerea respectively. It was a lively weekend with Deejays making their presence felt at Havana Park on Sunday and Kisuma Bar in Temeke where the events were well attended by the fans of Serengeti Premium Lager beer.

 

Speaking during one of the Serengeti Masta final competitions at Kisuma bar in Temeke Dar es salaam, A Serengeti Premium Lager fan by the name Salehe Kitwana congratulated SBL and the Serengeti Premium Lager managers for introducing a campaign that has inspired bar maids to better their services when it comes to serving their customers while also rewarding handsomely participants of the competition who can recognize the taste of Serengeti Premium Lager out of the five beer brands that are manufactured by Serengeti breweries Limited (SBL). “A campaign like this binds fans together and makes people like me develop love for the beer brand, I’m glad that I have had time to learn more about the brand but more so the the reason as to why Serengeti Premium Lager won Gold medal in this year’s monde selection award…said Mr. Kitwana.

 

Speaking from Kisuma bar of Temeke over the weekend, where the final competition of Serengeti Masta campaign was happening, The Serengeti Premium Lager’s Marketing manager Ms. Anitha Msangi detailed that “The 3 month campaign started on a very normal note but then picked up on the second month as a result of the good response from the Serengeti Masta weekly competitions that have been attracting a lot of fans in various bars in Dar es salaam and across the regions”. She said that the main idea of the campaign came about after the Serengeti Premium Lager had received the international recognition and the International High quality trophy in this year’s Monde Selection award hence the introduction of “Serengeti Masta” competition as a way of celebrating the Monde Selection award with consumers and rewarding them with prizes in the process.

 

She affirmed that the campaign is among one of the successful projects that has been conducted by her company in this fiscal year and that it has been well received especially in Dar es Salaam where they managed to do activations in more than 100 outlets. She confirmed that the final Serengeti Masta competitions ended on a very high note in the regions and mentioned the outlets where the final competitions had taken place as follows;- Arusha & Moshi (Bondeni bar-Kijenge juu), Mbeya( Mbeya Pazuri Pub), Mwanza (Shooters Pub) and Dodoma & Morogoro(18 Pub of Kihonda). Ms. Msangi thanked consumers, bar managers and the entire SBL staff across the country who in one way or the other agreed to participate in making the campaign successful. She added that the campaign attracted not only the participation of many consumers in the Serengeti Masta competitions but also realized the increase of sales of the beer brand than before.

 

Random survey by SBL within the 3 months period of the campaign reveals that the project seems to not only have benefited the brewing company but also more than 4000bar maids that were visited across the country and the Serengeti Premium Lager customers who won cash prizes and T-shirts throughout the weekly Serengeti Masta” competitions.

 

“We are very lucky to be chosen as one of the bars to end this campaign on a very high note today and I wish to urge SBL to continue introducing these kind of promotions in the market as they increase the consumption of their brands in our bars” expresses Kisuma Bar Manager Thomas Kimaro when the final Serengeti Masta competition toured his bar which is located in Temeke-Dar es salaam.
